The Sport Boss race features Uvex's exclusive IAS (Individual Adapting System): With its ratcheting closure mechanism, and pivot points, the UVEX IAS 2-system provides a unique, three-dimensional, and micro-adjustable fit. Helmet loosens up after you get going? No need to stop and fiddle with straps, just reach up and click the monomatic mechanism in to microadjust on the fly. Monomatic closure: Most helmets use a standard click-lock, and anyone who rides knows that the fit of the chin strap can change as you get moving and start to sweat. Until now, you had a choice: stop and fiddle with your straps, or ride with a loose strap. UVEX has solved that particular annoyance with a ratcheted design (similar to what you might find on a pair of bike shoes or in-line skates, only smaller). This allows you to fine-tune how tight the strap closes on the chin on the fly. The strap In-Mould technology means a tough helmet with superior protection for the back of the head.
